Yoko Yamada is an associate professor at Kansai Gaidai University, Japan. After earning a B.A. from Toyama University and
a M.A. from the University of Tokyo (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences),
she developed her interest in Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh, earning her MSc with distinction in 2000 and her PhD in 2005.
